One of the big fun-to-play games this year is the ‘BLock N Load’ game from Jagex. Its a very successful mix of two other games, namely ‘Minecraft’ and ‘Team Fortress 2’.
Block and Load is basically a FPS with wacky humor that is divided into two game-parts. First you get a ‘build stage’ where you use different type of minecraft blocks to build defences and structures around your own base (yes, its ‘capture the flag’-style in a way), then the game goes over into a ‘shoot’em all’ stage where the goal is to destroy the enemy base. You still got the blocks to play around with, and your trusty spade you can use to make a ‘new entry’ through a wall/ground/whatever. This makes each game completely different from the last one due to the amount of possible ‘solutions’ to play the field.
You will quickly see where the references to ‘Team Fortress 2’ comes into the picture with the wacky characters and types of weapons you can chose in this game 🙂
What the developers says about the game:
Five of you. Five of them. Face off in a tactical battle where everything you build, destroy, construct or shoot has devastating impact on the entire game. Build your defenses and charge into action to destroy theirs. Tunnel under the map or catapult over it, they’ll never see it coming! Be sneaky, be devious, be destructive. Be a large metal robot, twisted scientist, deadly ninja and more. Build using a crazy range of block types and work together in this FPS where no game is ever the same. Ready up! It’s time to Block N Load.
